About the WPBA

The Women’s Premier Basketball Association (WPBA) is the leading development league in women’s professional basketball. Founded to bridge the gap between collegiate competition and the global professional game, the WPBA provides a high-level competitive platform for athletes pursuing opportunities in the WNBA and professional leagues around the world.

With multiple seasons of competition, teams across the Bay Area, and a growing network of partners, the WPBA is building the infrastructure necessary to support the next generation of professional women’s basketball players.

Our mission is to elevate the women’s game by providing athletes with elite competition, professional development, and meaningful opportunities both on and off the court.

What You Can Expect at the Tryouts

The WPBA Tryouts provide athletes with the opportunity to showcase their abilities in a competitive and professional environment. Participants will be evaluated by experienced coaches and league personnel as we identify players who can contribute to teams competing in the upcoming WPBA season.

Players will be evaluated on several key areas including:

• Basketball IQ
• Athleticism and Conditioning
• Teamwork and Communication
• Skillset (shooting, ball handling, passing, defense)
• Attitude and Work Ethic

Our goal is to identify athletes who not only demonstrate strong individual ability, but also embody the professionalism and competitive mindset required to compete at the next level.

Eligibility Requirements

Before registering, please ensure you meet the following criteria:

• You must no longer hold collegiate eligibility under NCAA, NAIA, or any other collegiate governing body.
• You must be prepared to compete at a professional level of competition.
