FIBA in the Americas is launching the Women's Basketball League Americas (WBLA) to advance women's basketball in the region. This new league aims to strengthen FIBA's commitment to women in basketball and elevate the sport's status.

The WBLA will serve as a dedicated Continental Clubs League for women's basketball, fostering its development and creating opportunities across the Americas. Together with the Women's South American Club league, the WBLA will help create a sustainable ecosystem for women's basketball throughout the Americas

The Bay Area Phoenix is poised to make history as the first WPBA team to represent the USA in the prestigious FIBA WBLA in Medellin, Colombia this year. This groundbreaking achievement marks a significant milestone for the WPBA and heralds a new era of international competition for American teams on the global stage.
