The Women’s Premier Basketball Association is on the rise—and we want YOU to be part of the movement!

Are you passionate about growing the game and ready to gain hands-on experience in women’s professional basketball? We’re looking for motivated, creative, and basketball-loving interns to join our team this season. With a variety of roles available, there’s a place for you to contribute your unique skills and make an impact.

If you’re driven to elevate women’s sports and eager to gain real-world experience in the pro basketball space, this is your shot!

1. Head and Assistant Coaches

The WPBA is a premier platform for high-level women's basketball, offering elite athletes and coaches a competitive, professional environment to showcase and develop talent. With a season built around intense competition, visibility, and growth, we're seeking passionate leaders who are ready to elevate the game.

  • Each team will have two coaches responsible for developing team culture, implementing basketball systems, and ensuring athlete development on and off the court.

    • Head Coach

    • Assistant Coach

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Coaching experience at a high level, such as:

    • Collegiate (NCAA, NAIA, JUCO)
    • Professional (domestic or overseas)
    • Elite-level youth (AAU, national teams)
  • Proficient Basketball Knowledge & game strategy

  • A passion for mentoring and developing players both on and off the court

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to build a positive team culture.

  • Comfortable with media interactions and community engagement as representatives of the league

  • Required Certifications & Commitments:

  • Completion of USA Basketball Certification

  • Season: May-August 

  • Commitment to league standards of professionalism, integrity, and excellence

2. Broadcasting

The Women’s Professional Basketball Association (WPBA) is looking for aspiring sports broadcasters to join our team for the upcoming season. This is a paid internship opportunity for individuals passionate about play-by-play or color commentary, and eager to gain real-world experience in a professional sports setting.


Role Highlights:

  • Broadcast live WPBA games as a play-by-play announcercolor commentator, or both

  • Receive 1-on-1 professional feedback to help elevate your on-air skills

  • Gain valuable content for your demo reel to expand your portfolio

  • Be part of a growing league that’s changing the landscape of women’s professional basketball


3. Wix Website Intern

If you have experience using Wix.com, we’d love your help! We need support in: 

  • Updating and maintaining our website 

  • Ensuring the site is user-friendly and visually appealing 

  • Uploading content such as game schedules, news updates, and sponsorship information. 

  • Ideal Candidate: Someone with experience using Wix, a good eye for design, and basic knowledge of website functionality. 


4. Operations Assistant Intern

This role is perfect for someone who is highly organized and wants to learn the behind-the-scenes of running a professional sports organization. The Operations Assistant will: 

  • Help coordinate events, meetings, and logistics 

  • Assist with travel planning and scheduling 

  • Manage emails and communications with partners and sponsors 

  • Provide general administrative support 

  • Ideal Candidate: Someone detail-oriented, proactive, and great at multitasking. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential!



5. Graphic Designer Intern

We need a creative individual who can bring the WPBA’s vision to life through graphics. Responsibilities include: 

  • Designing promotional materials (flyers, banners, social media graphics, etc) 

  • Creating templates for consistent branding 

  • Assisting with website visuals and content updates 

  • Collaborating with the social media team to develop eye-catching campaigns 

  • Ideal Candidate: Someone skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) or Canva.


6. Social Media Intern

If you love creating content and engaging with audiences, this role is for you! The Social Media Manager will: 

  • Develop and post content across our social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) 

  • Engage with followers, respond to messages, and grow our online community

  • Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns 

  • Stay updated on trends to keep our content fresh and engaging. 

  • Ideal Candidate: Someone who has experience with social media management, understands branding, and can work independently to create compelling content. Basic graphic design and video editing skills are a plus
